Keith’s country a good fit for Urban Hub
Keith Urban may have weaknesses, but they weren’t apparent last night.
For two-plus hours, the Aussie country-rocker delivered a polished, dynamic performance that kept fans shrieking, clapping and hopping in their cowboy boots. One female admirer appeared to cry when Urban pulled her onstage and handed her the mike during rocker “Kiss a Girl.”
Urban’s brand of country — which, realistically speaking, isn’t all that country — draws its share of cowboy hat-sporting fans, but still appeals to those who don’t normally pledge allegiance to the genre, with its glitzy, mainstream-accessible slant, more likely to incorporate flashing lights and disco balls than banjos or violins…continue reading at the Boston Herald.
